ALL my work is just by way of rulers, compasses and so on, or done by copying a pattern. Most of the pictures are complements of an opaque projector. Once the pattern is on the resistance (I always used contact paper, which the low pressure allowed), it was just a matter of cutting the lines with an Exacto.
