Sorry you didn't like the Hinges George! I was a little concerned about the over-all 'darkness' of the Tiger Wood and Mahogany and the Light Tent that I use for Photographing these Boxes made them both even darker! The best way to photograph a a Box like this one would be outside in the Sun or in some diffused Sunlight... Anyway, here's another I took just now with direct light that shows more accurately the wood colors... It's a tough one to take pictures of! I gave up on metal hinges over 20 Years ago and won't be using them anytime soon... Again, Sorry
