Thanks Dutchy! LBD: I'm a little surprised at how few of the Woodworkers here don't use older style Razors, opting for electric or disposable? I had a very heavy beard in my Salad Days, and as I said, Electrics never 'cut it' for me... Disposables lost their edge before a single shave was achieved the few times they were tried... What used to be called a "double-edge safety razor" is what I've always used... They are cheap to use! I can get 15 to 25+ shaves from a single blade... They are also easy on the skin and provide a top-notch shave... A far cry from what my Grandfather used to use! He used a straight razor until he found and purchased this scary device... It is a Rolls Razor, designed by none other than the Rolls Royce Company... Both sides of the case open so the blade can either be drawn over the Stone or slapped against the Strop... When the blade is satisfactorily sharp, it is attached to the handle... I used this to shave exactly once, just to be able to say I had... It is not for the squeamish! (Nor is it for me! Lol)
