So I’m looking to invest in a hand planer. Any suggestions? I would like to keep the price as low as possible. But want a good quality planer. Would like to get one i can change blades on. Where i can bench, block, and smooth. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you.

There are some Chinese hand planes that are a knock-off of the Lie-Nielson planes. They are not as good, but they are still plenty good and at 1/3 the price of the L/N planes not a bad deal. They are made by Quengsheng and exported to most European, Canadian and American dealers. here is a review link you might find interesting. This is a photo of my own, a #4, #5 and #6 (with the light wood handles). I have had them for a couple years and I use and like them a lot.

If you are wanting a good electric hand plane, here is what I have used for 20 years, still works great.
