i hope this is viewed worthy?
i consider the Shopsmith Mark V tool system to be a worthy group of tools, i started out with a mark 2 version of the system back in 1988, and i never thought the system was much until i upgraded to a Mark V model, and what that helped me to do which was recover some sort of productive income while recovering from a disabilitating handicap from a pedestrian /car accident in which i was the pedestrian, i’ve been with the shopsmith tools ever since. the base system needs only 12 sq ft of floor space.
With the source of free wood it makes for a chance to make many gifts.

I’m a big ShopSmith fan too. They seem to be a tool that is appreciated by those who have them and maligned by those who don’t.
I know as I used to be one of the latter and now I’m one of the former.

The early bird gets the worm but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.

I wish there was a ShopSmith fan around here. I was kicked out of my shop and have a Mark V that I bought new and is now rusting away as I don’t have any place to put it.

i am in Grand Rapids, Michigan, i too have no place to work with my shopsmith brownie

If you have a garage you can build a cabinet to keep it in when you are not using it and roll it out when you need it.They are a wonderful machine.

sadly no garage or anything really , i live in a 2 bedroom apartment where as the second bedroom is more or less as an office for my things (books, some hand tools in a chest of drawers, a tv , and this computer system i’m writing this on .

i would not mind sharing space for a work shop with others who have mark V’s though it has to be Grand Rapids michigan .

Sorry Frances, I live on Long Island, NY. No help to you with that one.
