First box was for the Childrens hospital auction

The second watch box was made as a back up to the Children's Hospital auction box I made. Sure enough my friend was out smarted, when another bidder took the buy it now price of $550.

Since he gives so much to the hospital, I gave it to give him this as a thank you. The Sides are some kind of Rose Wood (but I am not positive). Top is curly walnut.

The "Pete's feet" are made from laminations of yellow heart, and the rose wood. Then cut into 45 deg. and 35 degree then two pieces are glued together . Then the two halves are beveled at 45 deg. with my sled with hold down clamps. Then those two halves are glued together to form a corner. Then feet are then glued to the box. The knob is ebony.

The finish is Lin Seed oil.

Thanks for looking

Petey

Petey, those are nice. A well-done project for a great cause. The feet are very interest, and as I was scrolling down the with 2 different woods caught me off guard, like those.
