This table was made of (Top) Curly Cherry framed by Tiger mable. (made back in 2003 for a coffee table) Repurposed here. Cross gran holding up nicely with biscuits and glue.

Base is Curly Maple with transtint brown die to bring out the curl.

Drawers where dove tailed and made of Poplar with Sepele 1/4 ply from a sail boat project left over a friend gave me. I built a map table for the boat.

The shelf was notched into the legs. A first for me.

Joints are with Domino's another first.

Base finish is GF Satin, inside drawers is Rubio Mono coat. (both firsts)

The drawer pulls are poplar ebonized w Black Transtint (100%) and GF ebony gel poly.

Top is 41" by 21" it stands 36" tall

Design is my own

Beautifully done.  You called it "drop zone"...but hope nothing harsh is dropped on the gorgeous top!
A beautiful Table Petey, love the grain and the finish is outstanding. You say a drop zone, I was thinking it would be next to the door. Well done.

Turned out great, looks amazing.

This table is fantastic with the curly grain, looks beautiful. I like the tight joinery, the shelf in the dado & the dovetails.  Great work.
I see you are a General Finishes fan, me too.
