Hand Plane Till

Carcass is made from plywood with box joint construction, everything else is made from Mahogany. The finish is Minwax wipe on poly, which I ended up liking more than I thought I would. My original design did not have the sides as Mahogany but I got a little carried away sanding and sanded through the veneer on the plywood so I re-sawed some mahogany to 1/8" and added the veneer on the side panels. Holds an entire set of Stanley hand planes including half and quarter sizes along with a handful of block planes, all handplanes are ones I bought covered in rust and restored.
Wow.  Impressive display.  Are the "dots" magnets?
Yes, countersunk magnets screwed to the plywood
Nice rack, believe I saw this at the other place. Those hand planes are entirely too clean though. :-)

Nice feature to add a little more security.
Clearly this guy is a very important plane…prime real estate right there.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

NOTW, very nice plane till, a beautiful piece of furniture. I like the idea of using the magnets to secure them in place. Been looking at designs and searching so I can get some ideas for the one I need to build.

I water it everyday hoping it will grow but no luck so far
