Whittling Little Folk

Project Information
This was my first time trying to do some whittling. On vacation I always like to do something with my hands. In the past I did some chipcarving. But personally I find this a little old fangled, and therefor I would do something different. And something that requires a few tools. I bought a book:

and tried it. I used basswood.

I had to throw a few away but in the end I managed to make thirteen. At home they were painted and now you can see the results.

These are so cute.  I think this would be fun to do when out camping.
Those are way cool, love em.

Main Street to the Mountains

Very cute! I like the fact they are small - one can be made in a short time.
Love the expressions you added!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Good work.
I like making little wood wizards.
So far, the few I made are from cottonwood.
They are neat Dutchy... looks like you are a one eyed soccer fan... the rugby player,

is missing.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Sharp looking. I tried whittling years ago, my fingers couldn't handle the pain of the cuts, gave it up. Good job. Mike

I'm sorry it hurt and you had to stop. I like to do it during my vacations. You need few tools.

Potz: The expression arose spontaneously
