Thanks folks, for the nice comments on my Cherry Dulcimer post. My favorite woods for dulcimers are cherry, walnut, dogwood, cedar (sound-boards only), maple, esp. curly maple, chestnut, and mahogany. My flutes are cedar, walnut, chestnut, dogwood, and cherry.
