PUZZLE BIRDHOUSE
Special order to built birdhouse as kind of puzzle - customer wanted to assembly the house , not to get finished. Than he will paint it after assembly. Dimensions 30x20x18cm, made of firwood, birch and pine plywood. The hole is 55 mm in diameter. Corner grooves were made on bandsaw. Screws were used on less visible places.

Looks great and it would be easy to take apart to clean at the end of the nesting season. Neat gift for kids too.
Where I live there are several birds that are considered predators of other bird eggs and chicks so the porch on this one would only help the predator gain access. Also it helps to have the entrance hole sized for the specific bird you are attracting. That way bigger birds can't get in. For example, tree swallows need 1 3/8" or 3.5 cm

Great design. Easy peasy for clean out.
So if the birds can't figure out the puzzle, do they have to try the back door (BTW... which is missing).
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
