Latest Shop Upgrade

Another shop upgrade.  A mobile router table cart with lots of storage.  4 std. drawers, with 2 router bit storage pull outs.
Remember that old Johnny Cash song  One Piece at a Time!?!
Well this cart resembles that old Cadillac, as it was a scrap wood project.  Made from whatever I could find laying around in the shop.  The base was made from a failed kitchen island build, it also features some hard maple, poplar, black walnut, mahogany, red oak and aspen.  I am sure there are a few more species in there as well.   A friend of mine referenced it to Dolly Parton song "The Coat of Many Colors".
The top is MDF coated with 3 coats of shellac and 2 coats of lacquer.
The only immediate out of pocket expense were the castors, the power switch and some "L" brackets.    I even made the drawer guides for the bottom 4 drawers, the top 2 pull outs required the std bearing type drawer guides, which I thought I was going to have to purchase.   However, in my searching and rummaging through stuff, I found some that came in a lot that I got at an estate auction several years ago.  That was a big score as these types of drawer glides run about $20 a pair.  So that saved me $40.
I have been working on this for several months.  Not a perfect build by any stretch, but I am happy with it.

A great router table, they are a must with the features. And you made it better with salvaged material which makes it the best. Well done.

Thanks Eric, I appreciate the kid words.
That is a nice addition!

Check out Woodpeckers Micro adjust for the router table.  Not too expensive and I love the ability to sneak up on the cut.
