Hello again.
Here’s a trial toy box I recently finished, made from MDF. Although MDF is a cheap material and easily worked its bloody horrible stuff. Dusty, flakey, weak and all cut/shown edges need sealing before painting! Anyways…
I first based the whole box in white then added a gold pinstripe around the edges of each panel, then painted the blue using 2 shades of blue spray paint. The images are cut from vinyl and applied then sealed with a clear lacquer.
The lid is held open using a gas strut and has a soft close function to prevent trapped or squashed fingers.
I’m not happy with it though because it being made of MDF. Lessons for next time hey.

It’s a nice piece. Do you worry about copyright infractions? The MDF does take the paint and Grafics well.
