Lidded bowl
This was my first lidded bowl. It is made from black walnut. It was a really fun challenge. Glad it worked out.

I too question "black walnut". It looks more like ash or possibly a maple or possibly English walnut.

Les it has held its shape. This is a project I did a year ago. It is finished with general finishes bowl finish I believe. I had to cut down this young black walnut tree as it was in the way of a zip line I was putting up for my sons.
