Lidded Boxes

These Lidded Boxes we made quite some time ago from whatever wood I had laying about.   All Australian very Hard Wood.
I don't have a lot of information on them as per sizes I'm sorry.  I had placed these on another site some years ago.
But they were turned on my Lathe and finished with Danish Oil from memory.

KInd regards......Cliff.

Love the luster on those!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Sorry Cliff, only a small thumb as I'm not a bowler... more a batsman and have dabbled a bit as a keeper... though SWMBO calls it hoarding.

Nearly got interested in bowls when I went off on a tangent threads in wood.... but got discouraged when I heard about thread chasing.  Have you tried thread chasing?... anyone?

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Thanks Ryan,  Yes the Lustre is many coats of Danish Oil.  I am slowly going back to Danish Oil,  I think it does give a deep glow as it sinks into the wood.

Hmm, I wasn't being silly-arse... I just don't make bowls, and Cricket and I got along... both in my youth and LJ.

But I wasn't referring to skirt... you didn't answer thread chasing... (sorry PC'ers).

Sharp looking, you did good on these with the different woods used. Great job.  Mike
