Coffee Grinders (Round II)

Round II on Coffee Grinders, this time I made some easier boxes by making them square, all Pecan, measuring 6-1/2" square and 4-1/2" high. I used Pecan splines in the corners of the box and the drawer, then a matched grain front panel for the drawer face. The inside of the box has drawer guides and a magnet to hold the drawer closed. Those guides also gave me something to glue the little side pieces to.

I used the same bamboo pins to glue the top and bottom panels on. I turned the little knobs with a tenon to glue into the drawer face. All was finished with Danish Oil followed by multiple coats of Minwax Wipe on Poly.

Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Ryan, thanks. I have a few of them now, adding to the pile. I still have 5 left, but I'll wait a bit on them.

Tony, thanks. I like the other ones better too; these were easier though.

nice grinders my friend.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Cool project Lofty....

But for one that avoids hand tools,

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Wood and rustic style metal are just astonish

...woodicted

Nice retro looking coffee grinders.
Pottz, thanks. And the mechanism is a ceramic grinder, which is better than the old style.

LBD, thanks. Grinding your beans by hands makes the coffee taste better with the anticipation and brewing it in a French Press.

Ivan, thanks. The wood mixed with the metal goes well together.

OldTool, thanks. The Retro look is coming back is some areas.

They look cool - how much coffee do you drink ;)

I'll admit, when I saw it was Round II, I was expecting the cylinder ones.
Mike, I usually drink about  pot a day. As for cylinders I'm still thinking about those.
