Pencil Cup

Shop has been a bit productive, this was a mistake. The plan was to create a brick wall for a recent project. With the segments I start out with base made up of 8 pieces, gluing half of them at a time, then sand the center to ensure I have a closed joint through the center. The base is fine, the mistake was that I got in a hurry and cut a bunch of wedges, I forgot to adjust the fences for the correct angle. It was to be 18* not 22.5* Arrr.....

Oh Well, I needed a pencil cup for the shop myself, decided not to add the additional pieces, so no brick wall in this one.

Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Your mistake looks like what I would hope for a project!!  My shop pencil holder is an turning my husband did that had an issue with the base.  Of course, I still rarely can find a pencil....

Glad you didn't have to toss it. I have several items in my shop that started out to be one thing and then became something else once I screwed it up.
