Bedside drawers

Have you noticed how thin shop bought furniture is nowadays? (I know I sound like a right old timer with that opening statement). Everything seems to have been paired down to save on cost, so when I wanted some bedside tables I thought 'no, I don't want your flimsy rubbish when I can do a better job myself'. So I set about making these. I just wanted plain, I did want tapered feet just high enough to kick my slippers under at night, I didn't do a drawing, just made them as I went along "hmm, wants to be about that high" "hmm, wants to be about that wide" etc.
All made from pine, paint is 'Arctic Fox' by Tikkurilla. I think the handles complete the look of these.

Doing the best I can with what I've got

you did a great job on these. your drawer alignment is perfect, something many seem to have a hard time getting right. seems your design technique is like mine. at best ill do a simple sketch listing the dimensions so i dont lose track. thanks for sharing your work.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Clean, and I like the small details. Nicely done.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

I like the design.  Always nice to build to fit, and know it's done right.
