Candy Dish

This dish was made from a block of cherry wood that has been on the end of the small lathe for 2 years. It already had a spigot on it so I finished it with the rest of the roughed out  bowls. It was turned pretty thin ( about (.090") and is super light. It is 6" x 2 3/4" high and finished with 3 stage buff and wax.

I LIKE it! That looks like it’ll really take on some nice character once it gets a little sunshine.

May you have the day you deserve!

I like the shape, bowl on a pedistile.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Very nice work Jim. Looks like it will hold a lot of candy.

This is my favorite of the 8 pieces! It is so light and feel fragile!!

Perfect Shape for a candy dish.  The Thin walls make it very attractive.
