Use for a chunk of firewood….

Thought I’d make use of the chunk of wood, so I made a centerpiece or????  Not so much wood working, other than running across my table saw to provide a flat bottom.
The deer are pyrography and then oil panting from there.
wow real nice, but we need a "lot" more info bud. like what size is this. did you do the painting ? and more close up pic's that are clearer maybe ?

Looks nice! Post some more details on it!

Sorry guys. The chunk of wood is about 12” long. 6” tall at one end , 4”at the other. I started by sketching the deer and then burning them with my pyrography tool. After that I just started painting. The log, was slit in half on my bandsaw. Saw marks left as is.  Here in NE TN where wood is plentiful for free,  my go to method of cutting logs into boards for the little things I make. Cut a flat bottom by ripping a straight edge. Was lookin for something to do for a couple hours while working at the gallery on Sat. This is what I came up with.
thats better dan ! nice work, as a woodworker and artist !
