Mesquite Singer Base Desk
Made this little desk for the quest quarters.
Singer treadle base just cleaned up and wiped down with wax to reduce rusting.

Made from mesquite scraps and finished with multiple coats of diluted shellac. I never “measure”, just pour a little shellac in a plastic bowl and pour in some denatured alcohol. Maybe 3 shellac to 1 alcohol. Dries really quick allowing me to get the final finish in a couple of hours, even when my shop is cold. Steel wool between coats. Buff with paste wax.
