Tried to post this by copying from the other site. Doesn’t seem to have worked and I haven’t figured out how to delete a project once posted.

So, here’s a summary, followed by the pics.
1) Reclaimed subfloor oak plank from a house we remodeled

2) doweled construction and square walnut “pillowed” plugs

3&4) fumed with household ammonia

5) wipe on stain and poly

6) print of a photo taken Watauga Lake TN.

7) Pic converted to stain glass form using Lunapic software and printed

8) drawn and colored on a plywood panel painted white. Poly and polished for glasslike effect

9) finished clock at home on a “stickley” desk

Been waiting to see this!

Looks great, love what you did with the photo and the case has some fine details. Finger joints on the top and the wood selections, fits right in for that cabinet.

Good job Dan. 🤠
Thanks SplinterGroup.
It came out great. Did you hand paint the image of the lake?

Nice save on the oak floor boards.

Did you also make the cabinet the clock is sitting on because it’s a beauty too.
Thanks WoodGuy. Graphics black lines are hand painted . Colors are watercolor pencils.

Purchased the Harvey Ellis designed Stickley drop front desk that clock sits on.
I'm glad you took the time to repost this. This is a beautiful clock. The stain glass conversion of the photo is a cool idea!
nice clock dan. yeah no way to remove a project, only edit. youd have to have martin remove it.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Nicely done clock.   Love the wood and the design.

Really nicely done! I’ve got all the makings for something similar…just need to get around to making one! Great job 👍🏼

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

All very cool.  But the glasswork is amazing.  Well done.
Nice build Dan, it came out great. Really fools the eye.
I've never heard of Lunapic software, I'll have to check that out.
