Finally messing around with 3D relief carvings. This was my first attempt and I’m hooked. Looking forward to making more but the only thing is that they take forever to carve. (Depending on your settings and bits) This one has a few flaws, but I fixed it in case I make any more of these.
Nicely done! Can you document your process a little? Do you lay it out and make primary cuts then go back and refine it or…? I’ve never done that before and I’d be interested to understand your methods.

I'd like to know about how much work you put in after the carving. I always assumes there would be a bunch of sanding to remove the milling marks. This carving looks quite smooth. Nice!
