Walking Cane

This is a cane I made for our good neighbor, Carolyn , who is from North Dakota and lives in the place next door in the winter. Carolyn and Phil walk every day in all kinds of weather and I told them I would make them both canes for this winter.
This one is 34" long  made from female box elder and walnut and finished with clear satin  Poly.
I made the 1" diameter at the bottom a little longer in case it needs to be shortened.
I personalized the handle for her.

Nice gift, well done

Ron

Nicely done! I like the laminate in the body. Almost looked like bamboo the way you had it turned at first. 👍🏼

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Thanks Ron and Ryan! I wanted it light for her so I use box elder. Most of the other wood in the barn is too heavy.  Phil's is in the lathe tonight.

Hi Jim,
Very kind of you to make canes for your friends Carolyn and Phil.  I'm sure they will love using them on their walks.

Regards......Cliff.
