Rustic Chandelier for Pavilion

I added a rustic touch to the pavilion. It needed something so I built this chandelier out of some old pallet wood / shipping timbers I had. The chain was new so I had to "rust it" for the look. I used vinegar & salt to remove the zinc and add a little rust. I stained the wood darker using thinned coffee brown stain after I roughed it up a little. The light fixtures, bulbs and wiring came from Amazon. The wiring is hemp covered rope light cord to complete the look. It was too bright so I added a dimmer to the switch to allow for a softer lighting at night.
Nice overall look.
Let it blow—This thing ain’t going anywhere.
I went back and looked at the original pavilion post.
This will stand up to a Florida hurricane—I might just have to steal some design inspiration.

Great blend of pieces.    Interesting!

That’s an awesome center piece for the pavilion! Understated, yet prominent. Nicely done.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.
