"Necessity is the mother of invention" I needed an easier way to use my Mantis thatcher to work on my yard. Like a previous Craftisian project (Blasterstump) it's not pretty but it works. BTW, wear a hoodie when using this, tank tops are not a good thing with this.
Yo, Yo... that sounds like and reminds me of my school boy days back in the early 60's, when one who owned a Coca-Cola one (Yo-Yo) automatically was inducted into the boy's club. After reading this post I got motivated, however, held back commenting until I managed to get some positive results in a similar dilemma... mine was a mulcher vs. the mower.
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
Round here it is a machine to aerate the lawn. Remember as a kid having Dad swap out the mover blade for one with spring loaded wires on a blade that dragged on the turf and scratched up the surface.
We (brother and I) weren't allowed near objects that could damage our fingers, Toes removed from mowing were ok, didn't need functional toes to pick-pocket at the bus station.
To answer Robs question, it's a tool / attachment / special blade used to open the area between grass to help nutrients and grass roots to grow better. It helps thicken the grass. It works really well and it does help the grass to grow thinker and better. We do it in the spring and sometimes in the fall.
