Dog leash

This holder for my labs leash and collar works great and is a good spot to place her favourite toy. You will never search the house for the leash, collar or favourite toy again. I made one from oak and one from pine. You could stain it for the colour of your dog or use walnut for a black Labrador, oak/cherry for a chocolate Labrador and maple for a yellow Labrador retriever. Or if your dog is another breed you could shape the holder to match.

very cool man !

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Cute!  How did you make the paw prints?  Nice added feature.
Thanks…..I got a stamp from the crafts store and a black ink stamp pad
What finish did you use?  Assume that locked the ink in place?
The process was put one coat of minwax wipe on polyurethane let dry. Sand with 320. Then stamp the dog prints. Let the ink dry. Then 3 more coats of wipe on satin polyurethane. I was afraid the ink would dissolve with the polyurethane, but it didn’t.
Thanks for the added information. Thanks for sharing the project.  I would need to get a German Shepherd shape to make my pups happy!
You could blow up these images of a shepherd and make one for yourself.
That’s a great fixture! Nicely done.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Like the design.    Hank might need one.   Thanks.

Those are great shepherd profiles!  Thanks.
