Shoulder plain box

Made this box from oak/maple to have a place to keep my shoulder plane looking new. Rich mahogany and espresso gel stain separated with amber shellac and finished with satin wipe on polyurethane. I used the shoulder plane to make a nice snug fitting lid!

Nice storage box!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

That's something I need to put on my list. I have the same plane sitting in a drawer.

Very elegant storage!
Also need to make one as mine is in its original cardboard box.   Like your box.

Nothing better than a classy box for a classy tool!
That’s a great storage box. The color coordinates so well with the plane.
Thanks Ron….i think I used Rick mahogany and dark espresso gel stain in that order.
Nice looking plane. The shoulder plane is an under rated plane. Really nice looking box
