New Chair Back Molding for Bar Stools

My sister asked me if I would make a replacement molding for one of her two barstools.  I decided to use some wormy redbud  (6th picture)  I collected from her yard a few years ago and make two of them so that they would match.  I decided to see if I could use my CNC machine to replicate it.   The 4th picture shows the one from the unbroken chair next to a completed replica.   You can see how I managed to make this as hard as possible in my blog about the process.

 Good job. Love the grain!
It looks great! And you nailed the profile.
I have a few projects that were done by taking the long and rocky back road versus the highway. Still hoping the need for another will come along so I can try the easy way before I forget the pains of the original.

Those replacements have way more character than the originals. Great repair work and nice upgrade!
Very cool Nathan!  CNC is a gamechanger.
