FLOATING FRAME

47x57 cm double frame, so called ''floating frame''. Consists of one L profile 4x3cm and one rectangular 3x2cm frames. Made of firwood slats. After cutting profiles on tablesaw and corners on mitersaw, I glued, stapled and straped all. Additionaly I glued and stapled small corner slats just to strenghten construction.
After additional fine sanding I put three layers of non-glossy laquer on visible sides (top and sides).

Look nice.    How do you fasten the picture or artwork in the frame since it seems the picture or artwork goes in from the front?

Ron

Nice.  These are two separate frames?  Or do they go together to hold the artwork?
Interesting

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

987Ron, you can either glue it or fasten with screwe it .
BB1, they work togerher - see photo with painting
Thanks Ryan

You are a very busy man!! That's a great frame

You don't always get what you go after, but you do get what you wouldn't have got if you didn't go after what you didn't get. Blaze Foley
