Had a walnut that I took down in the woods. Here’s a bowl from that. Finished with semi gloss polyurethane.

Nicely done.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

i like this one too.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

They are both beautiful but I prefer this one. Good job.
Are this bowl and your other the same size? Really handy to have a matched set for so many things!
👍
Can't go wrong with walnut.  Looks great!
I like the contrast in this one. Super fun seeing it turn out.

Within a half inch splint

Thank you all.

Damn, how I love walnut!.....Great bowl!!

Looks beautiful. It reminds me of a walnut bowl I bought many years ago in a small shop in Spain. It was however just treated with some food-safe oil. We are using it on a regular basis for salads. Works great, tastes better than out of a ceramic bowl, at least in my mind ;) Maybe an inspiration for your next bowl, although I can imagine you already have a wooden salad bowl.
Nice bowl Buck, good grain here.
Salad? I eat meat!! Just kidding….well I could probably use some more salad in my diet.

Thanks George!
Haha, funny. I was just trying to make a point that a bowl like that can very well be used for food. Make a meat salad then!
The bowl looks fantastic.
According to Google, polyurethane is food-safe if has cured enough, and there are also specific food-safe finishes.
Thanks for sharing your project.
