Inside out turning.

I was pulling out Christmas ornaments last week and came across some inside out ornaments I made years ago. It made me want to try some more of that. So here it is.

I guess it’s a tree. Not sure of the species as this was a chunk that’s been around the shop for a long time. It’s finished in laquer and buffed out with some buffing pads a friend sent me for Christmas. It has a nice shine. The piece is about 7” tall. Hope you like it!

You need to put a light inside and call it a tree lantern!

Dark Vader comes to mind....excuse the spelling.....

Yeah! A little LED inside would be awesome! Nice job.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

I like it!

That was what we were thinking. My wife has already ordered a light.
very cool buck.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Thank you all! It was a fun one.
I like it too and agree that a light would really set it off. In the dark the trees would appear as back lit shadows.

Make 15 more and you could be half way to a slick chess set!
Magnificant, challenging project

The last time I made a decorative wooden lamp, I used one of these color changing bulbs with a socket and cord like this. It comes with a remote that allows you to set the color and brightness and even had some cool color changing effects that are perfect for decorative pieces such as this.

I like that Buck. Light would make it jump out even more.
