Pizza Peels in Cherry

I recently made two pizza peels with some left over Cherry I had on hand.  These were each made from 3 roughly equal width boards that I machine planed to 5/8" and then rough cut out on the bandsaw to form the handles and their adjacent sides on the wide parts.  I then joined the three pieces (handle and two sides) using the Rockler Beadlock System with 1/4' biscuits/splines.  After they dried, I  cut out the profile and beveled the front edges of the peel on the table saw using a tenoning jig I made.   I then cut holes in the handle ends for hanging them, used a round-over bit on the router to soften the remaining edges, and then sanded everything down.

I gave one of the peels to my brother-in-law, who is quite the pizza maker.  I kept the other peel, but, unfortunately, it did not improve my pizza making skills!
