Garage Cabinets

I built these about 20 years ago to house and hide the usual garage clutter, well most of it. They have served well.

It never occurred to me to post this, until we cleaned them out and painted getting the house ready to sell.

The left cabinet has a full height side for my fly rods, etc. and the right has shelves. The other cabinet has only shelves.

Been on my to-do list to do the same build for our garage.  No flyrod  space however.   Someday.....

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

I wish my clutter was as well organized, those look kitchen worthy!
I've got 3 of them cobbled together out in the garage. We use them for secondary storage of Kitchen items not used much, if at all. Having the items keeps the Wife happy, so they are some prized storage. I made mine based on the finish them yourself cabs at most home centers. I have a smallish space in the middle one where I get to keep my BBQ stuff, and on the bottom you can see my huge Chili pot. The 3rd one got added to house stuff we do use a lot, but large, like my Crock pot, and stuff that would eat up too much room in the kitchen. They are a good balance of kitchen storage, just not in the kitchen per se, but just outside the door into the kitchen, so close, but still out of the way.

Ours are NOT organized at all. As we find new items to add, they kinda get stuffed in as they fit.

We have lived in 3 homes since we got married 25+ years ago. At each one I have found a spot for storage like this, it really offers a hiding spot for a lot of junk. :-)  Actually there is a lot of stuff we use frequently, and none of it is cluttering up the kitchen, which is much more organized. I believe these are what is loosely termed as a "Catch all" I ran out of room for more of them on that back wall of the garage, more junk would have to go  into the basement.
Mine are industrial looking 3/4" ply with large hinges.

Yours are better looking.
