This was my great grandmothers dresser that was in a storage barn for close to 20+ years. I think this is a beautiful design so I had to do something with it, plus it was used by my great grandmother. It took me quite a while to strip off the layers of white paint. I then stabilized the carcass with cross supports on the inside. Made all new drawer sides, back and bottoms and butt joined nice pine boards for a new top. Drawers are dove tailed in the back but I had to keep the original joint for the front drawers. Took a bit of time to find the correct lengths for the top drawer sides because the inner sides are longer than the outer due to the outer bow in the middle of the dresser. My wife wanted the baby blue because this is now being used as a dresser / changing table for our grandson.

It’s a beautiful piece.
It’s even more interesting given it’s been in the family for that long.
Great restoration.
