Syd's table

My granddaughter asked for this, and here it is. From a movie ,or something, all I got was a photo. Things like this is why I bought tools. Ideas for my grandson for Christmas are still ricocheting around inside my head.

I cheated. I went to the big orange depot and got an 18" pine round .  All the time I saved avoiding a glue up was lost trying to find the exact center. Hairpin legs imported all the way from the Amazon.

I got some stencils from etsy. This went quick, considering I had a lot going on around here. Family reunion here Labor Day.

I made a template out of corian for the stars. I cut stars on the bandsaw with a 16th for the router to trim off.
I stuck the star to the corian with ds tape and used a 1/4" compression flush trim bit from bits and bits. Router table flush trim scares the crap out of me,this wasn't so bad.

18" tall and round.

She's happy and I am,too.

Not sure what the movie is, but looks cute and all that matters is that she's happy with it!  Nice job!
Excellent Hairy!

Not really my style, but then again I'm not a kid!
