Boys and Girls,
Yet another
“dissection” puzzle that was put together long before I came across my
Tangram Puzzle, and never previously posted.
While this is nowhere as interesting as the Tangram, but can be added to the inventory of stocking stuffers.
This one consists of 8 pieces which, makes it a tad more difficult than the previous lesser piece puzzles I’ve posted.
Laser cut out of 3mm MDF,
and the retaining frame organised into sets,
before glue up using CA,
Each framed puzzle comes with the 8 puzzle pieces, however, in the cutting process, 2 sets of pieces were created. There spare pieces were package as a stand alone puzzle without the frame,
making it a tad harder to solve… and a more economical freebie give away (for me).
All framed sets were carefully sanded to remove the laser burn marks off the surface,
The large, nominal 100mm sets (actually 92mm x 80mm) were then put through my Beall Buffing system, however, due to their minimal size, the smaller ½ sized sets (actual 56mm x 49mm) were not buffed and just left as raw MDF.
They were then packages for stocking stuffers or freebie distribution,
The Sketchup model is available from the 3DW,
If interested in any of mine (LBD), measurements can be made available on request for anyone not familiar with SketchUp… though a working knowledge of SketchUp’s navigation (as opposed to its design/use features) and access to 3DW could be of benefit.
