BUD VASE FROM BACK YARD BRANCH

I collect all kinds of wood from my back yard and neighbours back yards and the park across the road.
Not sure what wood this is.  It is finished with Shelach.  Several coats sanded between coats except the last coat.  Bit rough and ready, but fun to make.
Kind regards ...... Cliff.

Another "nice" BOONBY (Branch Out Of Neighbour's Back Yard).

Never been a great fan of bowls (and this is a tall, skinny bowl). but I feel the need for speed wacky-tabacky backing a fellow Aussie.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Very nice (boonby) vase, Cliff  !!!!!!!!

I'm a mick... that's a Catholic for all you Yankee Philistines...

I believe I may have befriended RC... so I tend forgive all my trespassers.
Hey, more Victorians live/move  to Queensland than actual Queenslanders.

Yes Quite correct Cliff

I even do a welfare check via phone to LBD occasionally

Fellow woodworker Jim Jakosh
sent me this email

Hi Rob. Do you know Cliff Olsen? I have been E mailing him every day and now I have had no response from him in over a week. Would you happen to know him and maybe get in touch with him. He lives in Brisbane: XX XXXX XX Holland Park.
Thanks, Jim

So I did a welfare check on Cliff for Jim (and myself)
Cliff was home and pleased to meet me and we chatted briefly
Return home I confirmed Cliff was OK  to JIm

I had known of Cliff from way back LJs so duty called .

Regards Rob

Cliff,
Nice use of a yard branch. I like the glass insert, good thinking.
Nice shape and the wood fits the project well.
