These Bud Vases are made from wood I have kept after trimming Trees in Back Yard. Paper Bark......Jacaranda ...... Chinese Elm... Turned on the Lathe and sanded then finished with several coats of Water Based Polyutherane. Regards ...... Cliff.
Pottz Thank you. Yes it is hard to chuck wood away. I have a friend up North in a small town. He is not a woodworker but enjoys looking at the colour and texture of his firewood. Regards ...... Cliff.
Oldtool ... Thank you. I found that the correct size drill with a Number 2 Morse Taper in the Tail Stock and sliding the Tail Stock to the Head Stock, then with the project held in the chuck Jaws by a Dove Tail Tenon it worked really well, Just a matter of carefully winding the drill into the job. Regards ...... Cliff.
SplinterGroup ...... Thank you. Yes, with so much left over bits of wood, it is a great way to make small projects. I enjoy making things and giving them away. So long as I have a Photo of projects. I can then look at them from time to time. Regards ...... Cliff.
Hi Jim ...... Thank you...I really enjoyed working on them. At the moment I am cutting up small branches from Paper Bark trees in my yard. Being food safe they would be great for Spoons, Spatulas and Scoops. My good neighbour 2 doors up shakes his head and says..."Cliffy" you will never use up all your wood in your lifetime... Regards..... Cliff.
