Birdhouse Money Box

Hi Guys,

I am feeling super disappointed in myself.  I have been woodworking for 40 years and I only just set up my kindling bag system, lol

Ugh, and I live on an island in cottage country even.

And probably an even sadder realization that I only got this far because I want to make the fun birdhouse money box twist, lol.

Even guys who look like they got it sorted, we don't, ...but my socks match anyway.

Anyway, for anyone that has people dropping off money, or you have a paper boy/girl, this is a fun way to get the job done discretely.

I don't think its all that complicated, though what you can't see is the strong Neo magnets that keep the base on even after removing the perch.

I haven't seen anything like this at craft shows, might be a boon for somebody if they want to make 'em.

Thanks for looking guys.

interesting at least !

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

That looks like a good way to handle the money. The fact that removing the perch doesn't let anything happen will confuse most.
hey thanks guys

Like it!  Good approach for the $ collection.

At first I though you were overcharging the birds for a peanut, but now I see.
Clever!
Hey thanks guys, I hear folks are training crows to bring people found money in exchange for a treat, ...I wonder what a Blue Jay can rustle up?

A Blue Jay would likely go after you for more money - if it could figure out how to spend it!
