While I was at Ace Hardware today, the cashier was explaining that she was the employee of the month - every month- in her mind. The manager said they had no such award and one of her fellow workers said she needed an award for that!! So I said I might be able to help with that and asked her name......Amy! I cut her award out of some 1/2" Baltic Birch and finished it with clear satin enamel. The top is glued and doweled to the base. I used to work at Ace Hardware in Aurora, Ill in the '60's and I still have my pocket protector that we wore back then! It is on my memorabilia board:

yeah hell i figured i was the top employee for 48 years ? maybe not bullshit because i had some pretty sad ass people over the years. but i was lucky and had a few that got me through it till the end ! and i still call my friends ! my best sadly had cancer take him from me way too early ...................................😞
