Shelves for WA House Bathroom Remodel

DW wanted to have our MBR bath remodeled, her girlfriend had hers recently updated. The old bathroom had a fiberglass shower that was truly showing its age.  That BR was part of an addition to our home in 1993.

I wanted to add to the project so I decided to build a couple of shelves.  Chose Maple HW plywood and a Walnut shelf edge.
Finished with 3 coats of Shellac and two thin coats of MW Wipe on poly.

In picture 3  installed 4 temporary supports with 4d nails, checked for level, and used them to support the cleats use for permanent support of the shelves.  Put cleats on the wall using a punch transfer rod and nylon wall screw anchors.  I filled the screw holes with 3/8" walnut plugs.

I have access to punch transfer rods in the AZ shop and find them very useful.  I ordered mine from Amazon and were less than $25 for a set of 28 punches.

Nice fit and style Dave. Great way to make use of the usually dead space.
Clean work with the banding.

Those transfer punches have so many uses, I have several sets.
Splint,
Thanks for the comment.
