I used some pine that had water marks stain is special walnut ,4 coats of gloss clear, wood slides

I love the finish, not a big fan of pine for a desk tho. Great work.

@Thorreain, yes I am not a huge fan of the desk being pine either but any piece I make for the first time I make in pine as a prototype type thing, I have plans on doing a few of these in Oak and maple , and doing the back and sides in raised panels , this pine one does not have dovetail drawers the oak and maple ones will
