A coworker of mine has a huge key chain collection, and asked me to make her a couple display cases for her. These are made of Sapelle, with cherry plywood back, birch dowels to hang the key chains, and bamboo skewers as reinforcement of the joints. The joints at the corners are simple pinned lap joints. The plexi glass fronts slide to the right to open the cases. The most time consuming part of this build was putting dimples in each of the dowels to hold the key rings. Between the two of them, they will hold 150 key chains. Finish is lacquer followed up with beeswax.
Thanks for looking, and have a great day!
