Twenty Pallet Project
More than 20 pallets went into this project. You might not be impressed with the pallets, but isn’t all that firewood warming! LOL It heats us multiple times: cutting, splitting, stacking and restacking, and burning!
The pallets help to keep the ricks (facecords) stacked more evenly. With all the lumber we have available (you can see the edge of a lumber pile on the left of the third photo), we haven’t dismantled pallets for lumber. My husband is in the process of rebuilding the firewood corral with more pallets (third photo) this spring.

That is pretty much the way we used pallets until we recently got rid of our woodturning stove. Just tired of the work and mess it makes.
