A wile back I made this candelabra for my wife . The scroll work was fun . The candle stick holder was a little tougher . I started with a 8 in X 3 in X 3 in block of oak . now the trick here is that it has to be the same on all 4 sides . If you have 2- 7/8 in on all four sides that"s ok . Or if you have 3 in on all 4 sides your ok . But you can’t have 2=7/8 on 1 side and 3 in on the other . this is very critical . Then I added Aspen to the 4 sides . And then another layer of oak . Now comes the hard part . When you put it in the lathe it has to be as close to center as you can get it ’
