Dove Cote

This is my first attempt at designing and building a dove cote for a gardener friend. She wanted to add a dove cote to her English garden to be a focal point. After finally figuring out the roof and 441 hand made cedar shingles, it has been completed and installed.

Great work on this Michael. The roof is really quite special and looks wonderful too. I wish I could get Cedar here.

The biggest problem with the roof was trying to figure out the angles the shingles had to cut to fit the cone. It was a different angle for each row up the roof. Once I got that,
the rest was a breeze. A lot of glue used to hold the shingles in place. Thank you to everyone for the kind comments.
