We were at son’s and daughter-inlaw’s house for Father’s Day.She was putting salad away after dinner and said Istill don’t have a wooden bowl.Took the hint and started right away.Segmented cherry bowl .11" wide 6"tall.7segmented rings and solid base.I used 2 thin layers of walnut to add some detail.finished with salad bowl Finish from Woodcraft.Fun project,hope she likes it.

Lanwater,I counted the pieces.there are just 109 pieces total.Seems like a lot more.

Just 109 pieces he says! I’ve never tried turning, so maybe I’m naïve, but 109 pieces seems like a lot to me! Anyway, very nice bowl. Love the walnut rings. They really add to the piece. I’m sure your daughter in law will love it!

Nice bowl! I love to do segmented work and yours is a really nice one. The Cherry will patina out nicely and the accent lines-simple elegance.
