Scroll Clock - "Howling at the Moon"

Here’s a clock I made for my sweet wife (after all, she supports my woodworking love by encouraging me to buy cool tools!) It consists of five layers…with four different stain colors…to form the depth of the scene. The four layers of scroll work rest on a final fifth layer of black walnut. I opted to “burn” the inner sections of the trees, rather than doing interior fretwork, just to see how it would come out. I like the finished product, but I feel the internal fretwork would have been just as nice…if not a little nicer. Oh well, you never know if you don’t try a new technique. Thanks to Steve Good for the original scroll pattern.
