Finished the “Great Horned Owl” carving on October 18th 2016.. It was as usual a lot of fun trying to decide on the posture, patterns, base to mount the carving, and how to secure it.
I put 2 small metal rods from the stump base to the feet of the Owl, in that way I can always remove the carving from the base.
The drift wood stump I found at Lake Ray Hubbard close to home here in Dallas, Tx.
